How Plant Values Are Calculated

The price of a plant in Grow a Garden isn't random. It's based on a specific formula that our calculator uses for perfect accuracy.

Core Formula

1. Crop Value = Base Value × (Weight / Base Weight)²
2. Mutation Multiplier = Variant × Environmental Multiplier
3. Environmental Multiplier = (1 + Σ(mutation bonuses) - count of mutations)
4. Total Sell Price = Crop Value × Mutation Multiplier × Amount × Friend Boost

Power of Weight Scaling

A fruit's price increases with the square of its weight relative to its base weight. This means heavier fruits of the same type are worth exponentially more.

Example:

A Blueberry has a base value of 20 ¢ and a base weight of 0.20 kg. If you grow one that weighs 0.40 kg (twice as heavy), its new value before mutations is: 20 × (0.40 / 0.20)² = 20 × 4 = 80 Sheckles. Doubling the weight results in four times the value.
